Mostly consisting of 30 Islands and rocky outcrops the Farne Islands is also home to one of the largest colonies of grey seals. When diving it is very common to experience a friendly encounter with one of our most treasured local attractions.
Diving is on Farne Discovery – ‘The Power to Deliver’
MCA Cat4 coded to accommodate 12 divers and 2 crew members. This latest 32ft (10m) RHIB, is the perfect vessel for diving. Farne Discovery is purposely designed with a spacious, diver-friendly deck and central rack system for equipment storage with plenty of kitting-up space running each side. The hull sits low to the waterline enabling easy entry and exit to and from the water. Farne Discovery is powered by two four stroke Johnson outboard engines with combined engine power of 450hp, Farne Discovery has the speed to access all dive sites both safely and quickly.
Safety is paramount for Farne Island Divers. All passengers are thoroughly briefed on safety procedures before departure. Dive briefings are also mandatory upon arrival at all dive locations, prior to diving.
- Fully equipped, high speed MCA certified RHIB and licensed for up to 12 passenger divers plus 2 crew.
- Experienced and professionally qualified diver-skippers, PADI/RYA certified, with extensive local knowledge.
- Wreck diving, scenic/drift diving and diving with seals.
