Fins Scuba, based in Preston, North West England, opened for business in August 1995. Under the guidance of owner Colin Scowcroft, Fins embraced the PADI system of diver education introducing people to the world of scuba diving. Gaining rapid momentum, Fins progressed from a retail dive shop to a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre in 1997.

As a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre, Fins Scuba excels in providing scuba divers with a full range of scuba certification programs, scuba gear selection and scuba experience opportunities together with PADI Instructor-level training and the promotion of underwater environmental awareness.

Our Dive Centre is able to offer a vast choice of diving equipment at very competitive prices to either purchase or rent and we provide on-site servicing of scuba equipment with trained technicians and air and enriched air fills using our own compressors.

Fins Instructors, all trained by our Platinum Course Director and owner, Colin Scowcroft, have experience of diving and teaching all over the world from the clear, warm waters of the Red Sea to ice diving in Norway, cavern diving in the  Mediterranean and underwater photography in the relaxed ambiance of the Caribbean.

We provide diving experiences to suit all, either locally or around the world. With the assistance of a Fins Instructor or Divemaster let us help you relax, unwind and enjoy the underwater world.
